Services Available

All families receive an Initial Workshop. We offer two follow-up service options for you to choose between: Weekly/Bi-weekly Services or Workshop Services.

Initial Workshop
All children are provided with an initial 2-day consultation when receiving weekly/bi-weekly services or monthly-6-week follow-up workshops. An initial 3-day consultation is necessary for families receiving follow-up workshops at 2-3 month intervals.

What happens in an initial workshop?
The purpose of the initial workshop is to begin training you and your team of instructors how to effectively teach your the child, and to implement a set of programs/procedures aimed at improving deficit skills and reducing undesirable behaviors. The initial workshop is conducted in an apprenticeship format. The consultant will demonstrate procedures to the team, and the team will have the opportunity to practice and receive feedback on what is demonstrated. Behavioral strategies to manage maladaptive behaviors will be recommended, and programs to begin teaching foundation skills based on your child’s level of functioning will be introduced. Parents are informed about all aspects of instruction, and approve all procedures implemented.

Weekly/Bi-weekly Services
In the weekly/bi-weekly service model, Redwood will provide a consultant who will conduct weekly/bi-weekly staff meetings with you, your child, and your team of instructors. The staff meetings are scheduled for approximately 2 hours in length. In the weekly/bi-weekly staff meetings, the consultant will:

The consultant will teach you and the team of instructors how to set up an intervention program for your child (see weekly/bi-weekly services).
